Qi Men Dun Jia: Ancient Warcraft to Modern Day Business

It’s 4 am and it feels like the middle of the day.

Travel always sets me back yet I’m thrilled to be here.

I am in Malaysia for 4 weeks of advanced courses in Feng Shui and Metaphysics.

There are 70 of us (in Kuala Lumpur) from around the world, here to study. Today is day 3 of a 4-day course in Qi Men Dun Jia.

Aside from my jet lag, the last two days of class were intense.

The topic of the class?  Warcraft.

At first, I didn’t really resonate with the topic as the last thing I am about is war. But as I learned more I saw how much it made sense. Warcraft and business are alike because they both use logical means by which anyone can maneuver to achieve his or her goals. And as a Feng Shui Master, I am all about using logic to achieve goals.

Essentially, the ancient stratagems of Warcraft are seen in modern day terms as business stratagems.

Business people and governments use strategy all the time to win in “battle”.  Wealthy and influential people all over the world hire Qi Men strategists to help them win in their goals and want to know what strategy is the solution depending on the Qi Men chart of time.

Here is a snippet of my notes of the last 2 days.

The 5 factors that determine the success of a battle; The Tao, Heaven, Earth, the general, Fa – methods and regulations.
One requires philosophy, vision, right timing, right location, right people and right skills.
In business, the word deception is not good – we influence. All leaders influence.
Quotes from Chinese military general Sun Tzu, war leader and strategist:
“Being invincible lies within yourself.”
“Rely on yourself and react with wisdom, not anger.”

The things I’m learning about Warcraft/ business are still fresh in my mind and to say Qi Men charts are complex is an understatement. There are palaces, doors, stems, deities, hexagrams, 28 constellations and other influences to interpret.

There is more to learn and today we go in a completely different direction – Qi Men Sage Path, learning all about Taoist Sage Practices, the 28 constellations and specific applications protection, and physical and mental healing.

I love it!
