As I write this blog post, I’m sitting in my hotel room in Malaysia reflecting on my trip to Kuala Lumpur to study real Feng Shui with Joey Yap.
After 4 wonderful weeks, I am filled with new awareness, techniques, and applications to work with – for myself and my clients. I’ve also learned so much more that I can teach my students.
But, as much as I’ve enjoyed my time away from Vancouver, I am looking forward to returning home next week.
And of all the things I have in Vancouver, I am looking forward to my own familiar bed and my own personal Feng Shui.
You see, I designed my personal living environment with good Feng Shui and I am eager to be in that positive space again.
I’ve built my Feng Shui business on the premise that you can Design your own Destiny. What have I done to create my own good Feng Shui?
In order to describe my good and personal Feng Shui, I’ll use Classical Feng Shui terms, just so you can get a “taste” of the training I’ve had here in Malaysia.
(Classical Feng Shui is about primarily two things; Forms and Formula. This might get a bit technical but see if you can follow along)
First, I did an analysis of my building’s exterior environment – Classical Feng Shui dictates that one needs to first understand the environment.
My building has good forms with a good balance of Yin and Yang. It sits on a Huge Door Mountain. This is called a wealth producing star.
The highest point of the mountain is in the NE location, which, according to the time period we are in right now, is perfect. When mountains are good (meaning lush, gentle, and in the right location) they support relationships.
I can tell you since I’ve lived in that space for the last 3 years, my relationships on all levels have grown and improved. I have been supported in my life.
The SW land surrounding my building is low. This is also perfect for the current time period. In Feng Shui we say the Qi Mouth is in the SW. This translates to supporting me for Yang Energies, or in the case, wealth prospects. I can also tell you since living in this building, my business has grown exponentially.
There is a swimming pool in the SE. This conforms to Indirect Spirit Formula guidelines. Again, an indication the building is supported for money and good business prospects.
The incoming Tiger is high, yet the embrace for the Dragon could be better. This indicates woman in the building are strong, and perhaps single.
Again, most of the people living in this building are strong, career minded woman.
Are you surprised how Feng Shui has influenced my life?
Now, let me tell you about my individual unit. Inside the building I have used Xuan Kong Da Gua formula, advanced Eight Mansions, and Annual Stars to set up and arrange the layout of furniture and office in my space. My door location and direction supports me.
I have intentionally chosen a space where the energy at the door activates working with realtors, developers and older woman. If you who study Feng Shui, you will know I am tapping into the Star 2. Why is this star good for me? Because I am a Gua 8 and it is combo 10 – again a very good auspicious combination.
I’ve also used hexagrams to intentionally activate and situate myself for particular and goal specific activities.
The formulas I used are based on the exterior forms and compass locations that I can tap into.
The schools I practice are San He and San Yuan. Both have different applications…
Ok, the lesson is over. Can you imagine 4 weeks of this kind of study?
This is real Feng Shui. And as I said earlier, this is just a taste.
As a Feng Shui Master, I am able to understand the complexities of it all. And as a Feng Shui Consultant, I am able to translate these ancient Chinese metaphysical teachings into practical advice for developers, realtors and everyday people too.
And, after 4 weeks of intense study in Malaysia, I’m keen to return to North America and put my ever increasing knowledge of Feng Shui to use. I am planning changes to improve my space for next year. And I’m currently developing new content to teach.
2016 will be another powerful year for me and I look forward to continuing to share my passion for Feng Shui with you.
(And as for the tiger photo, in Chinese Metaphysics the Animals are metaphors for different types of energy. The day I was born is the day of the Tiger, the Tiger belongs to the wood and fire elements which represent growth, education, inspiration, passion, independence, to just mention a few.)
