Emperors and Everyday People: Who Studies Feng Shui?
People were lined up at 6am to get good seats. By 8am, half the class was waiting to get in and claim a seat. And class started at 10! Can you imagine?
This past week I have been in Kuala Lumpur studying with Joey Yap. This is my 4th time studying with him in the last 5 years, but this time, I’m studying advanced techniques of Chinese Metaphysics called Qi Men Dun Jia or specifically, Qi Men Feng Shui and Qi Men Strategic Execution.
I’m one of 150 serious students in the class from around the world: Europe, Mexico, United States, Indonesia, Brunei, Dubai, Singapore and more. We are all students willing to invest our time and money to learn more.
The students I share my breakfast table with are all professionals; a physicist, therapist, doctor, architect, stock traders, and scholars. Only 10% are full time Feng Shui consultants like me. Almost everyone here has studied with Joey Yap before. This says something in itself, as who would come back if they hadn’t experienced results from what they learned in previous classes?
I have been studying with Joey Yap since 2011, while I have studied Feng Shui with 8 Chinese Masters in the last 20 years.
Joey Yap is a genius in both his ability to read, understand and interpret the ancient classics and then to turn the knowledge into application. He is young, born in 1977. His clients and students range from movie stars, politicians, industry giants to everyday people. He works on mega building projects around the world, throughout Asia, London, Dubai, Australia, and North America. He employs 150 people on his team.
Joey’s accomplishments are too long to list completely. He began learning Chinese Metaphysics from Masters in the field when he was 15. He has a Commerce degree but has never practiced Accounting. Since his early 20’s, he has been teaching, consulting, and speaking around the world. By the age of 26, with his knowledge of Feng Shui, he had become a self-made millionaire. Today he is known as one of the top 10 Young Malaysian Millionaires.
Let me tell you a bit about what I’m studying.
Qi Men Dun Jia is the mother system of Feng Shui. It is connected to Feng Shui but it existed before Feng Shui. In ancient China, it was only practiced by the Emperor and his advisors. In simple terms, in Qi Men, the patterns of the universe were recorded and documented. By understanding and analyzing the patterns of time and space probabilities can be determined. The art of war is written based on this knowledge. When one knows the probabilities of what might happen, one can align and change one’s actions to create and change specific outcomes.
Of course there’s more to know about Qi Men. I have 2 workbooks with over 1200 pages to go through! I have lots to study and practice and will let you know how it goes as I go along. The last 4 days in class were exciting. I will be back in December for 2 more Qi Men classes: Qi Men Destiny analysis and forecasting.
Many years ago, I was wishing to myself that I would find a subject that was interesting to study and could use in my life. Little did I know that when I first began learning Feng Shui that it was a complex and huge field of study and that I would spend the next 20 years studying… and I’m still not done!
The more I learn, the more I see how my work as a consultant can help a person who wants to improve their life. I can honestly say that for me, learning and teaching Feng Shui and Chinese Metaphysics gets more and more exciting everyday.
