Hello Water Snake Month – May 2026

Right now, the pace of life is accelerating.

Everything is speeding up—technology, decision-making, opportunity, and change. We are no longer stepping into the future. We are already in it. This is a year where visibility increases, momentum builds quickly, and things unfold faster than we are used to. And in this kind of energy, one thing becomes essential:

Clarity.

Because speed without direction doesn’t create progress. It creates noise, reaction, and misalignment.

Understanding the Energy of 2026

The Fire Horse year moves through Period 9—a time of illumination, exposure, and rapid transformation. Fire brings light. It reveals and amplifies. But too much fire can distort perception. So while this year carries bold forward movement and opportunity, it also comes with a risk: moving too quickly in the wrong direction. This is why clarity matters. On May 5th we enter the Water Snake month and the beginning of the season of Fire / Summer.  Here is the chart for the month.

This is the most dynamic phase of the year –  the peak of the Fire Horse year where energy, visibility, momentum and uncertainty are at its highest.   The water is weak during this time creating less balance to the intensity of fire.

As the fire strengthens in the upcoming weeks, momentum will accelerate.  Fire, being  the element of alchemy, does not wait –  it spreads, transforms, burns and is relentless. This is a time where clarity and decisiveness become a power advantage and hesitation can result in lost opportunities.

Ji (己) Earth Opportunities may appear abundant, but discernment is key. Not everything that looks promising is aligned for you. Bing (丙) Fire
Your environment plays a powerful role in shaping your direction right now. Notice who and what you are allowing to influence your thinking. Are these inputs supporting your growth or clouding your clarity? Yi (乙) Wood
There is no shortage of ideas, conversations, and input—but not all of it is useful. Without boundaries, this can feel overwhelming or scattered. Jia (甲) Wood
