Who Studies with Marlyna Los, Feng Shui Master: Jason Lyn

Each year, just before I offer my intensive Feng Shui courses here, in Vancouver, I experience a thrill over the diversity of my Feng Shui students. 

They are all kinds of people, from all kinds of places, in all kinds of professions with all kinds of goals (you get the idea) –but the one thing they have in common is that they are motivated to make changes to their lives to do better, be better and feel better. 

I am often asked who studies Feng Shui? And we decided to start a blog series featuring some of our former and current students. 

In this episode, we had the pleasure of sitting down with Jason Lyn, a designer who is currently registered for the 2019 intensive series. Here’s what he has to say:

East West Academy: So, Jason, first tell me a bit about what prompted you to decide to study Feng Shui in general? 

Jason: I am a design professional. I have worked in fashion for the past 20 years. I’ve now transitioned into the home / interior design world and I have always been interested in Feng Shui. 

East West Academy: What level of Feng Shui knowledge do you already have? With whom, if anyone, have you already studied? 

Jason: I practiced with someone in NYC for 12 years who apparently practiced “black hat” Feng Shui, which I had no idea about. Eventually, I drifted from this person and spent a lot of time unlearning what I learned from him. Finally, I came across Marlyna and ended up completing the introduction course, Feng Shui for Life, to see if I liked her teaching style and if there was any synergy. I knew right away that Marlyna was a great fit based on my connection with her. It was just intuitive. I also always have had amazing female mentors in my life and felt very comfortable with her. And that is how we met. 

East West Academy: What do you hope to achieve with the course?  

Jason: I look forward to practicing more in-depth Feng Shui concepts and be able to hone my instincts. I’ve always “felt”, but wanted to put some theory behind the intuition. I’d like to apply this towards my new home interior business and implementing principles of Feng Shui in my work with clients. Not only in the planning of furniture flow but also the designing of individual pieces of furniture. Using elements that can bring harmony to a space. 

I’m curious about using my Feng Shui practice to bring more clients in. I’d consider becoming a Feng Shui practitioner, but not sure if I’ll master it in this lifetime. We shall see…
