Reclaiming My Power – Sacred Journey of Egypt 2019

I was called. I did not choose to go to Egypt as a tourist, I went because I felt an inner calling. It was both magical and challenging at the same time.

There were 33 of us in our group.  We were told Egypt would show us what we needed to see inside ourselves in order to face our Truth, and own it, like any responsible ‘spiritual – matured’ person would.

Let me introduce you to Sherwin Ng,  the teacher who took us on this trip and then I will share with you some of my experiences in Egypt.  Sherwin is from Malaysia, I first met Sherwin in Malaysia when he was one of my teachers working at the Mastery Academy when I started studying Chinese Metaphysics there ten years ago.

Five years ago, he formed his own school, The House of Kite, a spiritual school for self discovery and self empowerment and I have followed his teachings and work ever since. His beliefs resonate with me and are aligned with my own values and beliefs.

What is the spiritual path?

“The spiritual path, or alchemy, is the constant state of purifying, reflecting and elevating our state of existence in this lifetime, so that we might be able to experience greater joy, acceptance, connection, manifestations and the endless wonders of the Great Mysteries.  The New Age might often seem to be filled with happy, positive messages and daily affirmations,  which is fine, but when it comes to real inner work, transformation and seeking to understand the very meaning of our existence, it’s no walk in the park. To transform is to evolve into a greater version of ourselves. That is not possible without first shedding the old personality construct we have been so used do, which includes all the conditioning we inherited into our subconscious from our ancestors, karma and society as a whole.  Purification amounts to having awareness to see our own patterns instead of blaming an external source, and then making a choice to release and realign such patterns.”  – Sherwin Ng.

A sacred journey is not a leisurely holiday and it wasn’t. We visited 12 notable temples and pyramids in Cairo, Luxor, Aswan and along the Nile river.   As the pictures show they were amazing and magnificent.  The trip was arranged so that we had many early morning or later evening private visits to do initiations, meditations and clearings.  We had private visits to the Queen’s Chamber and the King’s Chamber inside the Great Pyramid.   We were told that when you visit the temples as an initiate, the veils open to reveal all the collective knowledge that has been amassed and experienced by the generations of priests and priestesses, embedded light codes upon the walls and hieroglyphs.  Every wall, every pillar had something to say.

The energy for me in Egypt alternated between awe, remembering, gratitude, love and compassion to that of being on an intense retreat, feeling confronted with the heat of plus 40 Celcius, and overwhelm and intense dark emotions.

In each place there were magical moments and crucial lessons felt and learned. It is difficult to express in words the experience but what I can tell you is that my perception of the world has changed.  I am back in Vancouver, Canada, with a renewed and stronger sense of self and purpose. My connection to spirit is deeper and easier.  My connection to inner self and old stories feels transformed.

I am excited to integrate and bring forth this new energy  into my work and teachings.
