Why I love Astrology so much – Astrology and Me – My Story
Hello my friends.
I love Astrology, I always have. I love it like I love the Sunrise. Every day is a new energy, something new to work and play with. I see so called negative and positive aspects all as good, all as opportunities. Just like the patterns of nature tell us when is spring and when is winter, when to plant and when to rest, so do our charts tell us who we are as well as the cycles and rhythms of life we chose to be born with in this lifetime.
I did not grow up with parents who embraced Astrology, Feng Shui or anything metaphysical. Quite the opposite. I was raised to fear and mistrust it. But then I was raised with loving parents who feared and mistrusted most things if not everything.
Yes somehow, I remained curious, if not rebellious.
I suppose it helped that as a young child I could easily feel and see energy. I saw it everywhere, in people, spaces and time. I could feel who was happy, whose homes were happy and where was safe. I knew deep inside that not all things were to be feared. I could sense and feel that somehow the universe was talking and I yearned to understand this language. A part of me felt that I knew this language and that somehow I had forgotten how to remember. This yearning and curiosity set me on a lifelong journey of studying and looking for answers. I have never feared learning about energy. I saw that fear exists in both the visible and invisible realms as does happiness and joy and that learning how to choose between the two is a skill we all need to learn.
The ability to feel energy is within all of us, but so often as we grow older our minds forget to check with our hearts and we get stuck in patterns of where the world does not feel safe. You can change this, it is possible.
I have spent my life studying religion, psychology, astrology and metaphysics. I wanted to understand what I felt and saw as a child. I have had many experiences along the way that astounded me, kept me curious and pushed me deeper into my studies. Thirty years ago, a reading with a man I had never met before shocked me. He took my birthday and looked at my chart and then looked at me and asked “Why have you never met your father?” It was true, I have never met my birth father. How could he know this. He said it is clear in your chart, it is a karma you were born with.
For 40 plus years, I have studied Western, Vedic and Chinese Astrology. Bazi Chinese Astrology is my favourite and what I resonate most deeply with. What I love about Chinese Astrology, known as BaZi, is that not only is it a tool for diagnosis and analysis, it is deeply connected with Chinese Medicine and Feng Shui and offers remedy. When one understands the concepts of Yin and Yang and Five Element Theory, there is guidance by what you see to take action. When we are connected to the flow of who we are with the universe, we are in tune with when to rest, when to push, what foods are best to eat, what type of activities are best suited for right now and so, so, so much more.
Learning BaZi is a transformative experience. It changes your life, it changes how you look at the world. Every Feng Shui consultation I do, I look at the person’s chart, not only to connect them to the Feng Shui of the home, but to see why did they contact me right now. What is the issue that insight will help? What is the problem?
One of my many teachers, Dr. Lily Chung once said to me, “Suffering occurs when you are not in alignment with your destiny”. It is so true. Yes, we do have free will and I teach Law of Attraction and many other spiritual insights in all my courses, but free will is about learning how to see things differently. If you wish you were a banana, but were born an apple, you will suffer.
If you wish you were happily married, or wish you had children and don’t, you will suffer. So what can you do? You can learn about the matrix you are your family and friends chose to be born with and you can learn to work with it, not against it. It is possible to be happily married even though your chart may say that is an issue, but you may have to learn first what do you need to overcome first and when is the timing that supports that.
Learning BaZi in depth may not be for you. But if it is, starting Oct. 29th I will holding a 5 week 2 afternoons a week online BaZi class called 4 Pillars For Life BaZi Mastery. This is a class for those of you who are serious and want to learn more. This is a beginner class as well as a class for those who have studied before and want to go deeper. My classes are kept small for individual participation and deeper learning.
It is an investment in yourself to learn to BaZi. This course is designed to empower you to live a richer and more full life, whether you decide to use what you learn as a career or not. Let me know if you have questions.
Wishing you a lovely week.
Love and light
