Studying Feng Shui in China: The Power of the Dragon
“It’s hard to put into words just how amazingly soft and benevolent the energy and feeling was. It felt like your favourite person in the world giving you a hug. Time was suspended. People spoke of how all their aches and pains and worries disappeared. The best word I can think of was this overwhelming feeling of ‘grace’. “
That was Day 5 of my week-long trip to China visiting the Ci Yun Temple. It is truly one of the most spectacular landform Feng Shui formations in China creating the most amazing spiritual Feng Shui experience I have ever had.
The Ci Yun Temple is more than 1000 years old. The Qi that exists there has attracted healers, monks, and pilgrims for centuries to study, heal and meditate. It is not a money-making temple; it is a temple of spiritual support.
Technically speaking, the Ci Yun Temple is located here in the Praying Palm Formation, on a Lotus Meridian and Jade Hall Nobleman Structure.
The shrine at the back of the temple sits directly on the vein as it is released from the mountain. The Deity of Wisdom – Manjushri is located there directly facing the vein.
For me, when I was standing in the temple grounds, I was instantly in a deep meditation, feeling a deep sense of spirituality and connection to the earth, our souls, each other. Many spoke of old wound and anger lifting and hearts opening.
In my meditation sunrises and sunsets, mountains and stars connected. It was as if I felt the energy patterns that create the cycles of life. It was simply amazing. It was a life-changing day.
Feng Shui has many forms. As you read and learn in my blogs – you know some of the most powerful Feng Shui forms exist as mountains and water land formations. Some locations are good for cities, some for business, and, when I was at the Ci Yun Temple, I got to experience one of the most exquisite mountain and temple Feng Shui form for spirit.
In my teaching and consulting I talk a lot about “Designing your Destiny”. I talk about the Cosmic Trinity and the three influences that create our “Destiny”, (Heaven Qi – the energy you’re born with, Human Qi – our actions and Earth Qi – where you live).
On my trip to China, seeing and experiencing ancient temples, famous burial sites and birthplaces of famous figures in history showed me first hand how where we live and work has such a powerful on our lives. It really does influence our destiny.
I love Feng Shui for how powerful a tool it is. With its knowledge, we all have the power to create our best lives.
